Is it worth grading Morgan Silver Dollars?
I have two sets of uncirculated Morgan Silver Dollars. Each set has 3 Morgan Silver Dollars in individual plastic capsules, ranging from 1833 to 1886. All coins were minted from the New Orleans mint.
The sets were purchased from a Federal Coin Repository promotion about 20 years ago, and came in a nice three-coin holder-box, making a nice display. I know the coins are uncirculated, but I would like to know the specific grade for each coin in case I want to sell them one day. If I get the coins individually graded, they will be placed in separate sealed plastic cases, and be marked with each coin's grade.
Here's the question: Should I get each of the coins individually graded (from a company like NGC or PCGS), or just leave them in the original three-coin holder?
Thanks for your help!!

TYPO: Coin dates are 1883 to 1886
The Federal Coin Repository is not affiliated with the mint or treasury department and is a private company. In fact now it has to have a disclaimer stating that fact. Your coins may not be uncirculated and one date can not be, for there were no Morgan dollars struck in 1833 for the first year is 1878. You should see a couple of coin dealers first before spending your money on having them graded, if they are not mint state they would not be worth it. The 1886-O in circulated grades is very common and worth around $15 or so depending on silver prices. However in mint state it is quite scarce, most were used few were saved. In mint state 63 it is worth almost $3,000. If you send it in and it comes back say very fine then you waisted the fee for you will not get it back, so check with someone first who can grade it. Maybe there is a coin club in your area they would help.
To make certain that your collectibles are genuine, irrespective of who endorsed it, which is whether it can be a movie star or a musician or a sports personality try contacting the star personally. This could involve attending each premier or buying the tickets for every single match or seeking a pass to just about every concert but all this tough function will bear fruit and you may not just have a firsthand encounter using the star but a genuine autograph too (some thing many people look at priceless!) You may come across that most celebrities are far more than willing to give autographs. Just tell them how huge a fan you are and just how much you appreciate their work. Do not tell them which you are collecting the autograph to sell at your on the internet shop or on eBay. Collecting your heroes or heroin autographs like the Display Case Holder on this page can indeed be a fulfilling experience.
Autographs collected in person have the absolute maximum value but you could even obtain one by mail, keep away from buying although as that is hardly a collection and lastly collecting an autograph is all about your appreciation of the star-so just how much will you appreciate them for those who have to pay for the autograph? Persons who want autographs by means of real contact with stars in fact do so by continually hanging around their cities or locations they frequent but they may possibly not normally be folks who're fans, they may well just be trying to acquire the autograph to sell it later. These individuals function in locations where the stars hang out just to get the autographs. They try to gather details from the drivers or gate attendant but not all celebrities' sign, especially when they know that the autograph seeker is not a genuine fan. So whenever you see a celebrity don't try smart tricks but if you're a genuine fan the celebrity will surely oblige you-and it'll be worth your though!
